Offered as a one week intensive program, this unit provides participants with the historical and epidemiological background to alcohol and other drug use and policy in Australia. It covers relevant theoretical models, and provides insights into improving drug policy with special populations (e.g. injecting drug users, Indigenous people), community and in emerging areas such as drugs and the internet. The overall aim is to provide participants with a framework to improve the integration of research into drug policy formulation at local, state, national and international levels. -- Course Website
